A friend of mine, her daughter had that problem, and she went to the Doctors and got some stronger medicine..The doctor told her that the lice is immuned to the stuff they sell at the drug store. Good luck with this..I know this can be a real problem..She ended up cutting her hair too..

My daughter had it several years ago and nothing I bought worked. The only thing that I have found to get rid of it on her was olive oil. It is exspensive, but the lice cannot attach to it because of it being to slick. Soak her head and scalp in it while you use the comb from the rid box. Make sure you comb out every spot on her head starting at the scalp. After you do that make sure you get rid of the lice in the house. They have spray you can buy. Wash her hair out and repeat it. Do this 2 or 3 times and you shouldn't find anymore lice or the eggs.

When we lived in the country, head lice was an ongoing problem. The doctor prescribed Ovide (I believe that's how it is spelled). It is left on for 12 hours, smells like pine oil, but it works.
