Normally its trying to clean herself up.
In your description, it look like she is having some kind of infection. check on that. Else it is her habit.

I have never seen or heard of cats sucking their paws... Only licking, because they lick the back of their paws then swipe it over their ears and/or face to clean themselves, but i guess you just got a unique kitty :)

Maybe she a medical condition and it is her only way of dealing with the pain. Or it could be a thorn in her paw that has become infected by leaving it there for so long.

Look for something she's stepping in around the house, some old spilled liquid for instance that she gets on the bottoms of her paws.

all cats do that don't worry, i have a cat which i bought when it was 5 months. and he still keeps on sucking his paws because it's kind of cleaning themselves from germs, scientists say that cats got a special substance in their spittle which works as an anyi-biotic to keep them safe from diseases...so don't worry it's normal, you should worry if she stopped doing it...

Cats are fundamentally insane. They are possessed by demons and are not to be trusted. Sucking on paws is usually indicative of an attempt to extract the evil dirt that collects beneath their feet. Please get rid of your cat before it attempts to overtake your household.

This problem is generally caused by the cat being taken away from his/her mother too early. It is perfectly normal, and usually they will outgrow it. Nothing to worry about! :)
