I work in a Lab, and I just watched in the news about surgeries and Er's in Bagdad, now I want to know, how their labs, especially Bloodbanks work in a war zone. And where is the Blood supply coming from? Can anyone answer my question?

A lot of us donate blood. When we are state side it goes to the Blood bank for everyone to use. In a combat theater we donate blood locally to help our fellow solders out. Our donated blood is used by everyone, to include enemies wounded in combat and brought back to the Hospitals.
Most of the blood science that we use today and blood typing, and storage was actually developed by the US Army, and Navy.
The use of hole blood, has also been perfected by the US army as well as the new blood stoppers now used in the Field as well as by civilian EMTs and paramedics.
Much of the current plastic surgery was also developed by the US and British Army, after the many wars, when veterans were coming home deformed.

The military blood supply comes from the same place as the civilian blood supply - local volunteer donors.
