This is not Rachael's recipe but the concept is the same. They both use tomatillas (you can get them in the produce dept, if you don't know what they look like then ask for help)

1 chicken
3 onions, chopped
4 cloves of garlic
1 green pepper, chopped
1 small can chopped green chilies
1 lb. tomatillas – husks removed, simmered, blended to make about 2 cups; add 1 tsp. sugar
Salt
Pepper
Cilantro, chopped

Stew the chicken; reserve broth, chop meat and reserve. Fry chopped onions, green pepper, and garlic in oil until soft. Add 2 cups of broth, canned chilies, tomatillas (2 cups). Salt and pepper to taste. Add cilantro to taste; adjust seasoning.

I have found no recipe for green tomato soup other than Emeril's
