There's an old debating axiom that warns against insisting something is true simply because it is what you, or someone else, or nearly everyone believes to be true. The classic example they use to illustrate it is that at one time nearly everyone believed the earth was flat, obviously their belief had no impact on what was true.

It's called 'Occam's Razor', not 'Occam's Razorback'. I thought you might just like to know that for future reference.
Occam's Razor might just be the answer. Christianity, with all of it's complicated and incredible stories and claims, is just TOO incredible to be true - it's just simply not the simplest and most likely explanation of the universe.

Because mankind is EVIL. God already predicted that mankind in general would reject the Gospel. The Gospel can save everyone, but is only going to save those who believe. Jesus already said that the road to hell is wide and will be traveled by many but the path to Heaven is narrow and will rarely be traveled!
