It's a war that simply can't be won by an outside force.
Not only that, it's a war that was predicted thousands of years ago, to occur during the sixty five year seize of Jerusalem. That prediction says that the aggressors on Jerusalem would lose.
Wait a minute, don't be too hasty on your conclusion as to who the aggressors are. That is indicated too. They are the ones who take Jerusalem over, which would be the Jews and the Christians who support them.
The best thing to do now is simply bow out and get ready for the real crud to hit the fan blades.

A. the british tried to hold us down 250 years ago and failed.
B. England couldn't control Northern Ireland for 30 YEARS and it's right next to them.
C. The Spanish haven't been able to control ETA (Basque) for decades and they are IN their own country.
D. There is no way on this green earth that the US will impose a democracy on Iraq from thousands of miles away.
When will we learn from our own mistakes and the mistakes of others? Vietnam anyone?
Iraq will become a dictatorship or a split country in 5 years whether we are there getting killed or not. We have no chance of succeeding. Let's stop killing our own people.

People don't seem to get that more troops will bring down are casualties, not raise them.
EDIT: Ok, 'ChrisJ,' that's crazy. The Bible clearly predicts that Israel will take back all of their original lands, because they were given to them by God. Why do you think we're backing them?
Did you really think this was a fair match? Come on, the Jews won against impossible odds to get their country back (as much as they have now) and hold it. There is no way that could have happened without God. There is absolutely no parallel to the Jewish repossesion of Israel.

we need more to stop these crazy insurgents the reason we need more is so we can patrol the naighborhoos and housing ares so that we catch them before they set up their bombs
