My mom says I can get a puppy. But my dad only gave me a limited amount of money. It has to be near South Carolina.

you can adopt a dog from a rescue organization or group in south carolina. there are several i found which i listed below, all of which are in your state and maybe in your county.

the rescue organizations in the country are non-profit groups that rescue animals and find homes for them. all they charge you is the cost of the shots and what it cost them to care for the dog. they care for the dogs, train them and prepare them to be adopted and to go to good homes.

we just got two great pyranees a month ago and these dogs are the sweetest and most wonderful dogs. the rescue organization helped us pick our dogs and brought them to our home. they are all volunteers so they really care for these animals and treat them with such affection.

good luck with your new pet.

There are dogs and puppies being held in animal shelters all over the place. If they don't get homes, they may be put to sleep. If you adopt them, usually they get the required shots to protect them from the most common problems doggies face. I hope you ask about the shelters and go adopt a good buddy for you!

Go to your local shelter. If you are going to get a puppy you might as well get one that needs a good home. The prices vary, but a small puppy shouldn't be too much.

Check out your local animal shelter. They get puppies in all the time that need loving homes!

Go to humane societys or rescue shelters. That way, you spend a little money, and also keep a puppy from dying because no one wanted it.

you should be able to get one at the pound for about $60. Don't be shy about looking. I found my full-blooded yorkie at the pound. People buy these expensive dogs and then can't handle them. They end up at the same place as the less expensive breeds.

Find a local doggy pound. The ones at the doggy pound are healthy, and free. If not, try to find a small farm. They sell dogs for $300.00. Sorry if I couldn't help.

1. humane society/SPCA
2. classified section under pets
-there are almost always ones free or cheap.
3. ask your friends if they know someone.

have fun and when picking a puppy make sure you pick one that you can handle and always check their temperament first.
to see if the puppy's breed will be too rowdy or even too calm.
