Should I be concerned or just happy he is not chewing something valuable?

He doesn't swallow the pieces, he just rips them off and drops them on the carpet.

My cat chews on cardboard ALL the time! He has don i since he was 3 months old. He'll be just fine! Just be happy he doesn't chew your necklaces all the time or something valuable!

Well the only reason I don't have cats is because I'm allergic, but I have had and loved them.

My dog loves to chew cardboard too. And YES I am glad he is happy with that rather than blinds and doors.

Can you tell we had a few growing pains when I adpoted him? However, he is now not the least bit destructive. Good luck with your kitty. My kitty also loved pony tail bands, hairspray caps and pen lids--lol...

Always ALWAYS watch what your kitty ingests! My buddy chews and leaves it laying around, but to actually swallow cardboard probably isn't very good.

As long as she's not swallowing any more than tiny pieces. My cat loves to chew styrofoam, but I don't let him swallow it, I'm afraid it will cause a blockage.

My cat does this too. As long as she doesn't swallow it I wouldn't be too worried. I think my kitten it teething too.

its totally normal maybe just dont encourage it, and stop her when she does...just make sure it doesnt get big chunks off at once..or they will get stuck in her intestines!
