You need to find an outlet, such as writing, drawing, running, etc. Something that will allow you to blow off some stress in a healthy way. Exercise is a wonderful way to deal with depression. Consider seeing a therapist, or finding someone you can confide in that also deals with depression.

This is going to sound a bit harsh...but it's true.. It's your "thinking" and the "thoughts" you are having that is contributing to your depression. Everyone has ups and downs in life, but it's how you INTERPRET what's going in your life. When you do your daily routines that stress you out, what are you thinking? What meaning are you attaching to those routines? I can almost guarantee you have a negative connotation to them. Next time you do those same routines, stop those negative thoughts and think of a a positive meaning to what you're doing instead. Also stop telling yourself you "can't handle life". You're setting yourself up and affirming that which you're trying to stop. Does that make sense? Action Steps: 1. Go to YouTube daily and watch as many Tony Robbins videos that you can. Get his books and cds (a lot of libraries have his materials). 2. Oprah has these life classes that are FREE that are truly amazing. Spend time on her site daily (see link below). 2. Spirituality - This always helps If you do just those three things you will see your thoughts and ultimately your behavior begin to shift. I also highly suggest that you still keep seeing a psychologist (find a good one) that can see you through this entire process. You may very well need to take medicine so you can function on a daily basis...I don't know, I am not a doctor and I cannot give you medical advice. Even if you do end up going on medication know that you can still do those three action steps I mentioned above. NOTE: Just to reiterate this is not medical advice and I am not a medical doctor. I'm just throwing out some ideas that may be of help to you.

Go to any of the novels that take place in the late nineteenth century like... oh say a Dickens novel. The characters he always uses to fill in the background are such as you. Yes there are many like this. Seldom do authors explain how life is divided into two groups .The winner-players and the loner-givers. You are accepting your group. Now find others in it. Then learn the second vocabulary of the winners and your life will be a terrifying experience everyday as you see yourself rejected by the other group in their language. No wonder you avoid them. I do too. Jesus died to save the depressed people not the winner people. I know you think I am joking sorry I am not.

Depression and anxiety are serious illnesses, you might find that hobbies and activities you enjoy won't be as interesting anymore if it goes untreated. If it's becoming overwhelming, it's important to seek treatment. Depression can rob you of your life in many, many ways.
Medication is not a destructive method of treatment if carefully monitored and properly administered in my opinion. If all else fails, it might be an option for you to consider.
My only other advice is to seek help through therapy and counselling. Look for psychologists in your area, contact your local mental health agency. Professionals can help you find the tools to deal with depression and anxiety.
Good luck.

Using drug therapy as prescribed by your doctor and monitored by a pharmacist is the best front-line defense for any malady. I am a pharmacy technician who is also a consumer of anti-depressant drugs - they have changed my life.... a person who requires drug therapy for a physiological reason is no different from one who needs drug therapy for a physical reason: anti-depressant drug vs. an anti-inflammatory drug: paxil or naprosyn.
Is this your real question: drug therapy? or are you needing some conversation/connection with people who might get to know you and care how you are feeling?

well, try to use some methods such contacting your inner spirit... chinese civilization for instance always used yoga for such communication...because when you are in the yoga position alone with no one, you think about nothing and you hear nothing from what's going on around you...try also to do something interesting...change your hair cut, your make up, the music you listen to...try to know new people who can give you support and relief when you need them...
hope my answer be helpful

Actually, there is nothing wrong with the right meds, they do help. But volunteering to help someone else that needs you is also another way to deal with depresssion. There are no right answers to this very serious problem. Please go see a doctor.
