a car is not a phone booth
people drive bad enough without a phone
no phone call is that important it can't wait.

people would ignore it
police would ignore it like the seat belt law
meaningless conversation and discussing nothing can't wait
no one on the road matters but you

There are not arguments to support a ban that don't apply equally to the radio in the car, or the the passenger.

1. It distracts the driver - distracted drivers cause accidents.
2. It takes one hand away from the wheel, diminishing control of the vehicle.
3. It can keep the driver from hearing the sirens of emergency vehicles.

this is touchy because i have seen some people on the phone and are not paying any attention to what they are doing. but on the other hand i owned a taxi service and now work for another transportation svc and we have to have our cell phones but it is work related a min conversation on where to go and thats it..
