We have both our strengths and weaknesses, but she is the one who taught me to cook in the first place, so I would have to say no.

Fortunately for my family and myself yes I am. Don't get me wrong, Mom could make a mean meat & potatoes and gravy but, that's about it. She never tried lasaga or ethnic foods. I think the most adventureous she ever got in the kitchen was chicken & dumplings lol. I have more of an appetite for a wide variety of foods so I can cook almost anything.
Yeah. I'm a better cook. ;)

No, I'm not a better cook than my mom, but she's not a better cook than I am, either. We just cook different things. Some of her recipes, I just can't make as well as she can, and vice versa. I love to be invited to her place when she's making a pot roast, and she loves it when I come over and bring a pan of lasagna with me.

Definitely. That's how I learned to cook. Because my mom couldn't make anything taste good.

My moms idea of cooking is Hambuger Helper.
