now I am beginning to wonder if she really did have fun because when the next snow storm came she said she was too busy to go out again. Actually, since she could stand to lose some weight I thought I was doing her a tremendous favor, but maybe she was not smart enough to see it that way?

Women don't understand the practicality of men....Invite her out for a jog next time, and tell her to leave the box of twinkies at home.

Perhaps someone would be doing you a favor to say that your outlook on your date is rude and ungentlemanly. Perhaps the girl likes the way she is, or is working on losing the weight, and you don't need to find activities that will make her lose it unless she specifically enlists your help. It has nothing to do with intelligence. Maybe she doesn't feel like sweating and shoveling snow with you, because she can do that at home. Maybe she didn't want to be that cold. If you don't like the weight she is, don't force her to change, either accept her at the weight she is currently carrying, or move on.

her shoveling snow a couple of times is not going to make her loose weight! Her being on a diet and working out 3 times a week would help if thats what SHE wanted to do. you 2 should be enjoying each others company on a date. If you needed help with snow thats what you shouldve said instead of making it seem like a date. Being a jerk would never get you a good respectable woman, only a quick and easy fix.

Yes, she sounds really ungrateful. And dumb - fancy missing out on such an opportunity. I should give her a miss.
