I know, myself being a girl, that I do this a lot. But I was wondering - HEY guys....
When you have a platonic friendship with a girl you find attractive, do you ever wonder about what a relationship with her would be like?
Or is it as soon as she is in the friend-zone, she is off-limits?

Platonic friends are the only ones I wonder about. All of my platonic friends are attractive so that's a moot point. Guys are the ones that are off limits for you girls, which is a question we should be asking you. Anyway, you need that platonic friend, it is necessary; it's too dangerous to hook up with people you don't know anything about, though many still do it.
Then of course if you're wondering that about us maybe there is some hope for the platonic friend, lol. I guess it all depends on the friend and how available he truly is. Honestly, I don't think girls are ever really off-limits, which is both a good and bad thing.

There is no such thing as a true platonic friendship between a male and a female. They are all romantic relationships in disguise, for some reason or other the male will not let it go beyond a certain point. It's usually a wise decision. But sometimes he is just shy and didn't get enough encouragement.

I have plenty of platonic friends. I don't wonder what a relationship would be like with them but I wonder what a one night stand would be like with them. In fact I have had those occasionally that have gone right back to a platonic state after the 1) alcohol wore off, and 2) the awkwardness wore off.
After a few months it becomes our own little funny secret.

guys don't pursue platonic friendships with women they find attractive. and yes we ALWAYS wonder what it would be like to "hit it." it took a while but was able to scale the walls of the friend zone twice. it was great and i am still friends with both of them.

I don't think it is possible for a guy to be able to think of any woman (of reasonable age) as just a friend without wondering ..... about .....!!!! She would be more off limits because the man was married or involed with someone else, not because she was a 'friend.'

Sometimes I wonder about it, but usually I try to keep her off-limits. I don't want to ruin anything.
