I don't know of any that are growing right now--it's the middle of the winter. You can buy cotton plant seeds and grow your own (I had a neighbor who used to grow them, but the new neighbors that bought their house chopped down all the cotton plants that kept springing up from the old ones and now they don't grow anymore.) But that would mean growing cotton plants.

Get a cotton ball and put it on a stick. I don't know--it's tough this time of year. Cotton is related to okra and hibiscus, I think. Malvaceae.

Or you could get, like, a doll and dress it in ol' raggedy clothes and give it a cotton sack (burlap) filled with cotton balls. Cotton sacks were huge and generally weighed about 80-100 pounds filled with cotton bolls (the cotton with the seeds still in it.) Models are cool. Make a diorama. Yeah. That's a better idea.

there are many companies all over the south listed on the internet that would gladly comply with this.. or maybe you will get lucky and find a user that lives near a cotton field..but at this time of year . its going to be hard. most cotton is laying down after being chopped to bits and there are very few of them standing anywhere but like i said you could get lucky.. let me know if you don't have any luck and I have friends that live near a field in louisiana and they might just do this for me..

It would certainly keep birds from eating the seeds.
