Yep those are the most popular Christian comeback. "Free will," "God did it," and "Because the bible says so."

It's because they know you've got them in a metaphorical corner and those are their only excuses.

Somehow I think the "God did it" response was that way in biblical times. I've heard that this is the way it is in the Middle East even today, everything goes "one back", where if you hop into a cab for instance, and the driver gets into an accident, it's your fault because if you had not gotten into that cab, there would not have been an accident. In the same way, God was simply the author of everything, including evil, even though we in the West know this to not be true. But to me this explains very well how an evil spirit from the Lord would be written in 1 Samuel 9:19, and why Jesus would ask the Father to "deliver us from evil". Just the way it is over there, logic or not.

Can't answer for "free will" since I don't believe in it. And I think I'd rather hear "because the Bible says so" rather than "as it is written".

Theres no one answer to everything except God himself but God gave us free will and God does have his hand in controling the world and God gave us the Bible so it depends on the question theres no almighty answer to the world, too bad though.

No sometimes the answer is I made a choice, it was the wrong one, but I am ultimately responsible for the events in my life.

Friend, don't be so ironic, to your own good. If you don't believe it, nobody here can change your mind. If your intention was making me feel angry, you failed. Nothing you can say is going to affect the truth, because it's unchangeable.

No, but I'm sure one of those three would be fitting for most questions asked in this forum.
