Because Gore lost to Bush in a contested race, and had the popularity of a rock star after 9/11.

The Republican Congress treated Clinton pretty hard. Even as a Conservative, I had to agree with Hillary that there was a vast right-wing conspiracy against Clinton. Even though Clinton brought his trouble on himself, I think it's bad to air all of our dirty laundry as loudly and as horribly as we did there, especially when we were engaged in Bosnia.

I am not certain this didn't really rev-up the stark partisan divide that we have in America. To be fair, I believe it started with the way Reagan was treated.

I think that Bush is a wonderful PUPPET! Yes a puppet, and if you look close enough you can see the strings! The string holders you ask? The rich, Haliburton, any one that can buy him to make decisions that support them. He's a liar, He was in what the Air National Guard? Well thats the story, he was really in REHAB! He never flew SOLO! try to find the documentation in the flight logs, you'll never find it. He's a disgrace to REAL service men and women. My grandfather did 6 tours in Viet Nam how many did Bush do? NONE! So while he makes himself out to be a Vet. he's never seen real active duty! And say what you will about Clinton being a draft dodger, the fact of the matter is is that he's a Rhodes Scholar, He's smart and versatile. As for that whole Monica incident, He's a man would it be any different if he was not President ? No. He's human and was feeling his age. I think that Linda Tripp wad jealous because she's manlier then most of congress, and no one would have any kind of relations with her. So do I hate Bush, No hate is a strong word, but I do think that a Monkey who can think for himself could do a better job then a PUPPET!

I'm not a lib, and I don't hate Bush. Just feel sorry for him because he doesn't have the brain, the skills, or the understanding to lead a great country like ours in a time of trouble. If everything was great in the US, he would have done a fair job being cute and mildly funny. This is not the case at this time. His akwardness and silly arrogance have made things worse with both our ennemies and our allies (you could ask which allies are left!).

I think that many Americans dislike President Bush for many reasons, but mostly I think it boils down to the fact that he doesn't ever listen to what his constituents (meaning us Americans) want to be done. He only listens to the people that he thinks will benefit him in some way. He's on a major power trip and he's cocky for no apparent reason. I'm moderate and have voted for both Republicans and Democrats in the past, but people like him make me want to choose the liberal side. His policies are not working, but he chooses to surround himself with "yes" men so that he can feed his ego.

This is totally off the subject and not pertaining to my answer to the question, but Rusty S's response is the worst piece of garbage I have ever tried to read. Try using a period after you finish a thought. It will at least give the appearance that your answer is somewhat intelligent.

Your question suggests you like W. And the way your question is written suggest you are cut of the same cloth. We (I am really a moderate) dont hate W. We just expect that the man in the job have judgement and competence. Had he been a CEO, he would have been fired. Somehow, he was rehired by the American people.
