There is no absolute good or evil. Evil is a judgement. To a soldier the opposing army is evil. To a policeman criminals are evil and to the criminal the prosecutor is evil. To Christians Islam is evil and to Christians Islam is evil. If you're buying high prices are evil, if you're selling low prices are evil.

Opposite of good. Morally bad or wrong. (i.e. abortion)
"In religion and ethics, Evil refers to the "bad" aspects of the behaviour and reasoning of human beings — those which are deliberately void of conscience, and show a wanton penchant for destruction." (1)
The absence of God who is love and goodness and purity and life and health.
I once read "evil is evil for evil's sake". In other words, it doesn't make sense. It is the spirit of satan at work. It is a presence that is palpable at times the same as God's loving presence is palpable (so strong you cannot doubt it.) Definitely it is unrighteousness and to be avoided.
"The LOVE of money is the ROOT of ALL EVIL" 1 Timothy 6:10
