No you cannot. You MUST have a social security number to claim him. You could file without him, wait to get his SSN and then file an amended return if you need money now.

Yes - (you can claim the child) but you must have the #. There is time to get his/her social security card. Go to their office.... If you don't have the # by the time you file, you can file an amendment to your taxes.

No, you must wait until you get his SSN before you can file. If you've already applied for it, you'll have it in more than enough time for the April 15th deadline.

You'll have to wait until you get it. Your taxes aren't due until April 15, you should be able to get the card by then.
