Yes. The invaders will call us insurgents. They might even call us terrorists for shooting at their soldiers and putting roadside bombs. But of course, our fellow Americans will call us heroes.

No. We are the MILITIA! We, all American citizens between 16 and 70, are the unorganized Militia. We are the backbone of America. It is our DUTY and RIGHT to fight for our country if the need came up. We also have the Right and Duty to force our government to adhere to their oaths to protect, defend and preserve the Constitution of the United States of America and to evict corrupt and treasonous politicians by force of arms if necessary and restore our Rights and Liberties.

Yes, the enemy would call us something to that effect. And it would be true.
I'd still fight, and wear "insurgent" as a badge of honor.
I wouldn't be killing innocent people, though.

It is not only where you fight that matters.
it is what you are fighting for.
are you fighting for freedom against a immoral dictator or a freedom loving nation who wants to put their own government in to secure everyones freedom.
Or do they want to overthrow the government that is elected to give everyone freedom to control everyone else.
this is of at least equal or even greater importance. To be on the right side.

I agree with the first poster, plus our Air Force and Army are designed to protect us.
But as to your question, do you think we would be targeting our own civilians in the U.S. if that were to happen? That is the cut-point, they are murdering their own people, children, women, shop-keeper, civil police, truck drivers, people that work in Public Health, etc, basically the non-combatants that make a society. If we were invaded, I think we would only be going after the bad guys and not the people who are trying to hold things together.
Sorry, your analogy does not hold.

No, because we would fight toe to toe, we wouldn't hide somewhere and kill innocent people just to take out a couple of enemies. We aren't and never will be as cowardly as those insurgents in Iraq.
What the hell is with all of the thumbs down for all the people saying we would fight.
