That I don't want to date at age 14. I think that Middle School relationships only last for like a week and they don't even talk to each other. I do like some guys in my grade but, I rather wait until I get older so I can have an actual relationship. Do any of you feel this way or felt this way when you were my age?

there should be more girls like you! that makes the two of us! it is normal cuz it only means that we're too mature for our own age... middle school and sum high school relationships most likely dont last that long... most of them are only experimental relationships... and some of them are just the fact that dating sumone is cool... i prefer that u wait til ur older, since its more meaningful and u dont have to deal with the cycle of middle/high school drama...

Well, there is no right age to start dating. When you decide you`re ready for dating, you can start.
Not all middle school relationships last a week or so. It depends on how much the couple like each other, and how much they have in common.

When it comes to dating, I don't really think there is a 'normal' age to want to date. Dating is a personal thing, and you should do it whenever you feel like you are ready and willing. Guys aren't going anywhere honey! And there are always more of them! Just enjoy being young, whatever that means for you; single or attached!!

i disagree with you, 14 is really the time you need to start dating. and middle school relationships last more then a WEEK. you should start getting into relationships

I totally agree.
My longest relationship was only 6 months, when i was 11.
Shortest was not even 1 day.
I'm 14 also.
I actually am stopping for awhile though...
only because the guy i want is 18. lol
i still think that's a smart idea though, and soo soo true.

Everybody feels ready to date at different times in their lives. Age 14 is still pretty young, you still have quite awhile before it's "not normal"! Good luck!

It's maturity. Plain and simple you don't want to have a relationship early on. I myself didn't feel that way but I know that if I was like you I would be content with my decision. Knowing that I am saving myself heartache and pain.

Yes its normal. Wanting to wait is great. Saves you all the hassles that comes with 14 year old boys. When your ready, you'll know.

you are wise beyond your years. I think that is a smart choice to wait until your a bit older..there is no certain age where you have to start dating..its a personal choice.

It is completely normal to feel the way you do. You shouldn't feel pressured to date. You can start whenever you are ready.
