Fear, in and of itself, is the worst that could happen. If you have no fear of what will happen, but take an attitude that "I will do my best to overcome my problems as they arise" then you stand a good chance of succeeding. But when you begin by being afraid of failing, your chances of succees are greatly diminished. FDR felt that the American people could succeed at anything they put their mind and effort to accomplishing. He felt that the only thing that would stop them was fear of failure.

“Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood.”

“Ultimately we know deeply that the other side of every fear is freedom.”

“We dance for laughter, we dance for tears, we dance for madness, we dance for fears, we dance for hopes, we dance for screams, we are the dancers, we create the dreams.”

“If fear alters behavior, you're already defeated.”

“You can discover what your enemy fears most by observing the means he uses to frighten you.” ~ Eric Hoffer

“What man does not understand, he fears; and what he fears, he tends to destroy.”

Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure.

In order to eliminate fear, we must face the fear, acknowledge it and only then can it be conquered.

Not to shy away from what frightens you, but tackle it head on. When you conquer them, there are no longer obstacles in your life stopping you from accomplishing your goals.
