I'm going to be in NYC for two weeks from Jan 31st and will be missing some of the Six Nations games. The thing is, is it'll be on (if shown live) at 10am and it seems most bars I've read about are open from 11am so I'm not sure about the licensing laws etc.

Your help would be appreciated!

http://www.mccormacks.net/sports.html This place lists a bunch of soccer games as early as 7:30 AM and they mention Rugby. I guess you would need to call them about the Rugby.

http://www.desmondstavern.com/info.asp also shows european sports

Ther are a bunch of other places on third ave between 23rd and St. Marks that might have it. I can't remember all the names of the top of my head

I have an Irish colleague who's mad about rugby and he heads for McCormacks on 3rd (I think around 29th). That's supposedly a great place for rugby -- he was there last weekend for some big European match with an Irish side in it.

I know places were open early for the World Cup matches so they might not be able to sell alcohol until 11 but I am sure that there are places open earlier for the sports.

it will be close yet Wales have the momentum and the type while the French have been given hammered by ability of eire in a type tournament, and that they jst slipped previous Scotland in spite of the undeniable fact that the scoreline tells a distinctive tale. The French lack self belief and are not on type. i think of Wales will win!
