The avg life span of an indoor cat is about 20 years, although they can live to be in their 30s. The oldest living cat that I've read about was 32 or 36 years old. Sadly, the avg life span, due to accidents, poisons and other things, for an outdoor cat is 2-3 years. From what I understand farm cats have less things to worry about (cars and whatnot) and tend to live longer than a city cat. Cats that are over 8 years old are considered seniors and need special check ups.
