Therefore, my hair is different, it's pretty when natural, but I want it straight. It kind of like the singer Mya's hair, only I have tighter curls.

You should definitely invest in a ceramic iron because the plates adjust to the right temperature so they will not scorch your hair. Of course, they're a little pricey but worth it. Make sure to use a lot of conditioning treatments because although this ceramic iron won't do as much damage to your hair, any kind of heat on hair causes damage.

If you have had trouble with "scorching" your hair with the flat iron before then you should get an iron that has an adjustable tempature (usually a dail on the side). Make sure to use a product on your hair (they make them specially for thermal styling, like flat ironing and curling)

get a "global beauty" hair strightener, i wouldnt suggest buying them at a pharmacy, because they are usually really cheap there and dont work. go to a beauty shop and get this one. its black, thin, and might be expensive but well worth it.

even just blowdrying your hair straight with a comb can work wonders. Just use straightening balm before to prevent flyaways.
