Short answer: yes.
It has a lot of metal in it. The same metal foil in the casing of even plastic cameras is to keep your processors from both receiving and transmitting radio waves. And it does also transmit, even when it is in ready state, aKa OFF. Because the cpu of any device has a Real Time Clock attached. When you turn your camera on you can get a date and time displayed, when you upload them to your computer you get a time and date when each picture was made.

Much the same way a cell phone can be used as a tracking device, even if it is turned off. Cell phones also have to transmit to the nearest receiver, so the three nearest receivers can give an exact location for you. If you ever lose your cell phone contact the company and they can track it for you.

The signals from your camera aren't as strong, but they would set off a metal detector.
also the printed circuits inside are mostly metal. most of their mass, and the circuits are insulated from each other by the silicon resin.

As to how to get it in, golf courses typically have fences, true? Once you have (sans camera) gotten into the course, slide near a fence and have a friend toss it to you.

Or, if they let you take in like a radio, with headphones of course, put the camera inside the casing of the radio.

If you are planning to take in a bomb, you are going to build up so much bad karma that any promise of Heaven or Paradise or a good reincarnation would be null and void.

Besides, the professional bombers already know how to smuggle stuff.
