Is there an HR manager or a higher up? This is a very delicate situation because you don't want to be a total goober, but it's not at all fair that your co-worker is getting away with slacking. I'd suggest you talk to the HR manager or your boss's superior and express some concerns that you have.
If there is no one, then it's more complicated--what are you going to do? Your boss might not realize the favoritism and be really embarassed. Or the boss and your co-worker might be really pissed off that someone thinks they're letting the personal get in the way of business.
You might have to start looking for a new job. Good luck.

Their personal affairs is their business. I used stick to my job and mind that only.
Now that I am the boss, I do not allow that type of relations at work. I give my female employees a warning if they attempt to make passes at me for the first time. The second time they try that, I suspend them from work for 15 days. The third offense, they go to the unemployment line.
I have a wife and a daughter who are the light of my life. I have no reasons to look at my female coworkers as anything other than sisters.

If you decide to do something about it, you need to go to your human resources dept. If for some reason you are unable to do that (like if the person having the affair with your boss IS the HR person or IN the HR dept) then you need to go to your boss's superior. It is suggested that you address the matter as an issue that is harmful for the company rather than yourself.

That's called,"sleeping your way to the top".
It is a very common practice. If it were me,
I would ignore it and treat them both nicely.,
this situation doesn't last long because either the wife will find out---or the co-worker will become pregnant--or he' ll start sleeping with someone else.....the hell will break loose and he'll be fired. All the while, you still have your job.

Don't worry about what they're doing, and continue working like nothing is happenings. Only making light of it will encourage them more.
If it gets to be a situation where it's out of hand, go speak to Human Resources about the issue.
If that's not resolved, start finding another job.
Good luck.

Pretend you don't know anything about it, don't talk about it and try not to let it get your goat. Your boss has a boss too, and eventually they will be found out. But if they are not, and you do say something, it will be seen as malicious gossip and you could get into hot water.

Turn in your resume and tell him that you can not do both of the jobs for just one pay or do one better, let his wife know and her husband.I think if you have human resource in your company, they can put a end to the problem, give them a try, I know it has to be confidential on their part.If you turn in your resume put exactly why you are leaving and get a copy of it before you turn it in.Good Luck, there will be other jobs and other Beeotches.....

I would gather as much evidence that I can and go to someone that has authority over him or her and present it to them. If someone else finds out and and knows that you know, you could be repremended as well or even fired. Do the right thing so it wont happen again.....unless it is you that is having the affair.

I would mind my own business. You can't control or change other people, you can only control and change yourself. It's been a hard lesson for me to accept, but it keeps me sane. You should find another job if you are unhappy.

If I THOUGHT, I'd mind my own business. Unless you have PROOF, shut your mouth and move on. If you have PROOF. POSITIVE PROOFof favoritism, go to human resources and file a grievance.
