I would say that decades ago, pre-marital sex was less uncommon, but today, the first time anyone has sex may be awkward. I think it has nothing to do with the stress of marriage, or people expecting you, or about "using your pole." Quite simply, sex on your honeymoon isn't just going to be sex. It's going to be much more special because you're giving yourself to someone who you have decided to spend the rest of your life with. Your bodies will become one and you'll be opened up to an emotional side that you've both never experienced. I would say that may be intimidating. But the first time with someone you TRULY love will be one of the best experiences of your life. Trust me, I know people who have had to be away from their husbands while they fought in Iraq. When they got to see each other, the first time after being apart was nerve racking and may have been a little tense. So it doesn't have to be awkward just bc it's your honeymoon.

Just remember, if you chose to be a virgin bc of your belief system, it's a choice that you have been anticipating your whole life. It will be worth it and not awkward.

My friend and her husband didn't even have sex on their honeymoon. He came down with the flu while they were in Miami, and she had to take him to the hospital where they put him on an IV for fluids. As soon he got better, they had to come home becasue he had to go back to work. She said it was like the honeymoon from hell.

first time sex is always awkward, it has nothing to do with your honeymoon or that your virgins ... you should both take it slow and it'll be okay ... don't get drunk at your wedding and respect each other that night ... make sure you bring things to help you out like lubricant and maybe read up on what to expect.

Bill's Honeymoon Poem
-----------------
Honeymoon love
Is what we dream of,
The action that follows the wedding.

Right after the service
The bride gets all nervous
And her lacy dress spots 'cause of sweating.

And then there's the groom
The poor man about whom
Most of us do little thinking,

He could fail in his role
Because of his pole
Falling limp 'cause of way too much drinking.

Here's advice that's unique
For those who can speak
To a just-before-honeymoon daughter,

"Tell the man you will wed
That you'll kill him dead
If he drinks anything but ice water."

You both obviously never shared your bodies with another person before, so you are most likely feeling very consious about your bodies and performance. It will take time to feel confident in your sexuality.

When one rides a bike for the first time, they are wobbly, akward, and even sometimes scared; but after a few more attempts they are racing with the wind.
So don't worry, you'll be racing with the wind in no time :D

because you feel pressured to do it. the big thing is, when you get married you are suppose to have sex for the first time on your honeymoon , it's not like you have too, if you don't want. i envy you guys. me and my bf are getting married in 8 months but we're already had sex lots of time. i wish now that i would have waited.

Because you know when you leave for a honeymoon everyone knows what you are doing and you know they know. Just relax and have a good time.

There are so many high expectations and the pressure for it to be the most magical night ever makes its extremely stressful.
