I'm not sure what rock being evil has to do with yahoo answers.
But it is a good point... though christians never keep to their faith when it really comes down to it. They don't believe in evolution but want the latest medication (the vaccines that have been designed to fight off the multiple strains a virus or disease evolves in to), they listen to rock even though it's evil, they want psychiatric treatment despite believing that insanity and cognitive difficulty is really demon possession, they are no longer willing to kill their children for being disobedient (the bible specifically demands this), they want to be saved from cancer or ailment despite believing it's god's will they get cancer and die, they want abortions even though they don't believe it's right etc.
The fact is that christianity is incompatible with the modern world, but that doesn't stop them from taking advantage of the benefits from that same modern world they so adamantly demonize and refuse to acknowledge. Christians have no problems looking away or rationalizing their faith when it benefits or suits them.

Hey!!!!! I am a Christian and I don't see how rock, computers, or the internet are evil. You are being overly generalized. And I'm here talking to the atheists because they have questions that I just might have an answer for. I never saw any of that stuff here myself.

Some ultra-conservative and older Christians tend to have a knee jerk reaction to things of the world. Back in the old days, some thought playing cards was a sin also. Believers are always best served if they thoughtfully analyze things before we react to them but obviously youre always going to have people that overreact. That is not to take anything away from Christ and his church. Better to be overzealous or it misplaced though than no zeal for God at all!

I guess I am not up to date on all of the religious rules. Oh and I am a Christian. I knew about the Rock, that started in the 60's, thought it was outdated. Wouldn't listen to some types of music though, even if I was paid. That is rap, sorry, just can't stand it. My preference. I think it says in the Bible it is not what goes in that defiles the man but what comes out of the mouth.

Christians have nothing better to do than condemn everyone and everything as being evil when in fact it just may be they themselves are evil and must pass judgement on someone or something other than themselves. Christians like Yahoo so they can fill less guilty about themselves.

Wow, you are confused, aren't you? Rock music is only evil if you like the bad lyrics, computers are only evil if you are putting it first before God and talking to atheists is only evil if you let them sway you. End of.

I'm a Christian. I never said rock, computers or the Internet was evil. Site your source and don't lump one category of people together when you make a claim.

because not all Christians think that way and me personally, I just found out about this site through my email, and I came to check it out. There are Christians who create rock music and they do that as an alternative to other rock artists out there. But as for me I like whatever comes on.
