my best friend is acting like a total b*tch! I like her BF's best guy friend and she keeps telling me no, i can to go out with him, and no i shouldn't like him, and no to everything else that has to do with me and him. I have been single for about 9 months now after being in a 6 year relationship. her and her BF are having there own problems and it's like if she's not happy with her BF than I can't be happy. we have been best friends for over a year and a half and she tried to get me to hook up with this very same guy just after my ex and I broke up, and now that I am showing intrest in him she thinks it's a bad idea for me to like him because of his past and the girls he has dated in the past. she has known this guy for about 10 years now, but why is she trying so hard to keep us apart?? I'm 26 and he's 30, it's not like we are teenagers or being imature about any of this!!
please any input would be great!! thanks

she told me in the past that he has dated "model" like girls, basicly skinny girls,and that if you dont look like that and you were to sleep with him that he would not want anything to do with you after. I'm not skinny by any means, but I'm not fat either, I have curves and I'm not looking to just sleep with the guy, I want to get to know him better, and maybe go out with him now and than.....

Oooo....sounds like your friend has grown accustomed to you being envious of her havin someone, and the prospect of you ending up happier than her isnt appealing to her. Let her know you're a big girl, and can handle him. Remind her she tried to fix you up with him, initially (when she knew him for 9yrs and 1 month), and ask her how much better has she come to know him in the past 9 months??

i say, shes just crazy and that you should date who you want. tell her its not her choice and that if you wanna go out with him, then you'll go out with him. maybe she's just a b*tch and doesn't want you to be happy when she isnt. iunno. but i say, screw her and go out with the guy:)
