Hello, I was born in Washington D.C., and have lived in FLorida almsot my whole life. I had my S.S.card lost/stolen. I went to my local Social Security office about 9 months ango and again about 4 months ago and am still waiting to recieve word for a new card. Now TODAY my wallet was stolen, and today was the start of a new job, so I had brought my birth certificcate and a paper stating (for my new employer) the Social I was giving was infact mine.

So now I'm worried that someone might try and use my identity.....

What do I do??????

your gonna have to quit losing things like that. the two bits of info you don't want falling into the wrong hands are your ss card and drivers license. a good rule of thumb is never carry those two things together. you might get lucky, all you can do is get new ones. if they steal your identity its a bunch of crap to get it straight... good luck and vote for me!

It seems as though you may be a bit irresponsible----one you should never carry your social security card with you--you would want to contact the three credit union so that they can put a flag on your social security number. You may also want to file a police report as well. You may also want to go to your local social security office to make sure that no one is using your number for work purposes..keep in mind that they cannot assist you with credit problems...good luck!!
