This will partly depend on your qualifications. Are you CPR certified? Have you taken any local babysitting courses (check the library)? Will you be expected to drive him activities or classes? Will you be responsible for any light cleaning or dishes? All these influence how much you should be paid, as does the area of the country you are in. I would guess you'll get paid anywhere between $20-$40/day.

for a 5 yr old 3x week for 5 hours which is 15 hrs or if really nice and good & not to far for drive,, charge $-3-4 an hr be $45-$60 a week
if their was more children then i would charge more. or if theirs a distance i would charge $4-5 an hr so be $60-$75 a week. I am a mom of two age 12 and 9 now,. but when i had babysitters, it I paid $3 per kid, so was $6 and she only lived across the street & was for 2 hrs a day 3 days week, also I had paid before for a weekend get away, we had to pay someone which was two babysitters, they split it was $200 for a weekend. to baby sit both my kids, Hope this helps, take care

Where I live I use two different ones depending on my budget. I use a 13yr old and a 19 yr old. The younger one charges $5/hour. The older one charges a little more. So it depends basically on how long I need them for. My son is in daycare during the week and I pay $90 a week(Monday - Friday) whether he is there or not. If he misses a day due to illness etc. I still have to pay that day. I would go by like the cost of living in the area and what kind of neighborhood they or you live in. I would also ask around to friends who have kids. They would be able to give you a better idea.

Where I live I pay my sitters $7/hour four my 5 year old and my 2 year old. If I were you I would charge $4/hour, so $20/day which would be $60/week. But if the child is difficult then I would charge a bit more. Good luck.

I would say charge whatever minimum wage is in your area. Where I live it's $6.75/hour, so I'd charge about $6 per hour. However, if it is more than one child, then I would charge a bit more. That would be about $90 per week (again, this is what I would charge in my area...other places might have a lower min wage.)

When I was a teenager I charged five dollars an hour. Both of the families a babysat for had two children I had to watch.

I would think $20 a day. So that would be $60 a week.

since your goin to babysit weekly don't charge by the hour you should only do this if its a once in a while thing. $60 a week seems reasonable

I would say $60 a week would be fair that would be $20 per day.
