Your question is in the AIRCRAFT sub-category and should be withdrawn and submitted in GENERAL - CARS AND TRANSPORTATION.
Your question has been answered by several already. It is currently Texas, the only state with a speed limit above 75 miles per hour or 120.7 kilometers per hour. There are 12 states that are posted as high as 75. As for Texas, 80 is their limit, but a new stretch of highway yet to be constructed, could raise that to 85 mph/136.8 kph.

Officially, the highest US speed limit is in West Texas at 80 mph, which is about 130 kph. The included link will show you a speed limit breakdown by state. Montana is in a lot of peoples minds because they went through a period where the speed limit was not numerically specified; the signs only mentioned a speed that was "reasonable and prudent".

According to the source below, there is no Federal Law. I do live in a Western state and most Interstate speed limits area 75 in rural areas. In some states, there are long stretches with the stipulation that you must be driving with reasonable caution (or words like that and maybe even more stern). I thought Wyoming was the state that did this, but it could be Montana, or both. I do not know if these "unlimited within reason" areas still exist.

Most of the mountain west states have 75mph speed limits, and Oregon is the only western state still at 65.

I think in some places in montana and maybe some other states in the north-central region I don't think they have speed limits, I know here in Texas, out in west Texas they changed the speed limit there to 80mph, but I would say montana for sure because there is no speed limit.

Alaska because the measure of speed is different. it's more centered towards the canadian unit of measure: the maple mile. Alaska's speed limit is 68 Maple miles per hour or roughly 90 American miles per hour.
