FIXED? Are you so stupid as to think a animal in its natural state is broke?

I know there is an overpopulation problem but we do not neuter humans when they get out of jail?

Neuter is the less graphic term for the procedure lol.

It's to prevent more wild/stray cats from roaming the streets.

Ok to start off with I'm thinking that you adopted your cat at a shelter of some form. The reason that shelters exist is to provide homes for un-wanted animals, to try and lower the number of unwanted animals they neuter the animals in the shelter to assure that although your animal cannot breed he can still go through the motions much like any man who has had a vasectomy.

I know this may seem cruel by human standards, but if you ever volunteer in an animal shelter, you will see how cruel it really is to let cats and dogs breed freely. The shelters are full past capacity with unwanted cats & dogs and puppies and kittens. The sad part about it is, many have to be euthanized simply because they are unwanted. Trust me, it's far kinder to spay and neuter your pets. All the pets I've ever had have been spayed and neutered, and they are healthy and happy.

To be straightforward the humane society probable not in any respect regarded at her tooth. they have a lot of animals coming by way of their doors and that i'm effective they do the most acceptable they could yet searching at each and every animals tooth isn't a concern to them at the same time as many are ill, abused and damage. you're responsible for the vet bill in case you actually are an animal lover and care about this cat. once you're taking on the duty of a puppy this stuff do happen. I do do not ignore that you in user-friendly words were given the cat and did not learn about it yet you do have her and also you probably did take her so at this aspect the "correct" component to do might want to be to look after her tooth. make effective you've a accountable vet that you may have self belief and get a second opinion once you've any doubts.

The cat you adopted needs to be "fixed" for many reasons. The reasons are A- he doesn't spray your home to mark his territory,B- in case he gets loose this prevents him getting an unswayed female pregnant, C-it is said to make the cats calmer and less aggressive to other cats, and finally it prevents him from wanting to roam the neighborhood looking for females, which could cause him to be hit by a car or mangled by another animal. It is humane and they recover quickly. If you care about your animal you would do what ever it takes to keep them safe and healthy, spaying and neutering IS caring.

Debatable. Almost inevitably if you don't have your cat neutered, it will result in unwanted kittens (because someone else didn't spay their cat). This will probably result in "stray" cats, which some people might suggest is inhumane, but only if you believe that cats are meant to be house-pets and nothing else - no one gets upset about "stray" squirrels. However, it also affects the cat's temperament and has some health implications as well (e.g. female cats are likely to develop mammary tumors if not spayed, for reasons I don't understand). Male cats will also wander for miles to find females in heat if they haven't been neutered, so your cat might disappear.

Yes it is humane. If he is not neutered he will be constantly fighting with other males, and will guarantee you will have lots and lots of visits to the vet to treat his injuries. He will be a happier healthier cat and will have a longer life. Then there is the cat over population issue.

You had to do it because tens of thousands of kitties are dumped at shelters every year and they don't want your cat breeding so more can be dumped. Most shelter cats are euthanised because there are just too many of them. It doesn't change their personalities but it means that some other cat wont bring it's owners a new addition, plus male cats spray this foul smelling stuff from glands just above the butt and they fight more often with other male cats.

you mean getting him nuetered?
yea this is humane, it's unhumane to let animals go without getting them fixed, they populate the earth to much, and then you have a bunch of kittens with no homes that just end up dieing or getting down away with. it's a good idea, plus, especially having a male cat is a good idea, because once they start to spray, you can never get that smell out of anything they spray on.

Because, think of all the cats that you saw in the shelter. Alot, huh? Well they are trying to cut down on the number of kittys that go in there so they won't have to put so many to sleep. Here's it plain and simple for you... 1cat - 2nuts = NO UNWANTED KITTYS!!! Get the picture?
