1 kilo of fresh chicken drumsticks. 1 can of hot Coke. 50mils sweet soy sauce. Put all of the ingredients in a pan on the stove and bring to the boil. Then let it simmer until nearly all of the juice is evaporated. Takes about an hour. Gives the chicken a sweet flavour. So Delicious. Serve with a nice salad or pasta. Yummy! Kids will love it too. Mine do.

Our family's favorite recipe is made in the crockpot/slow cooker. It's amazingly easy and we never, ever have leftovers! It's better than any restraunt, too.
Hot Wings
25 chicken wing pieces
1 cup BBQ sauce
1/2 cup Red Hot sauce
1/2 cup honey
1 T brown sugar
1 t mustard seasoning
Broil wings in oven for 8-10 minutes. Put them in the crockpot and pour in the sauce. Cook for 4 to 4 1/2 hours, or until very tender.
This goes great with a vegi salad and white rolls. You have time to make fresh hot rolls while it's cooking.

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aME4f
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

You could make a Mexican dinner.
(I assume that you don't get a lot of Mexican food down there so it might be a nice change.)
TAMALE PIE
1 lb. ground beef
Dash Tabasco
1 can tomato soup
1 can corn
½ tsp cumin
1 can kidney beans
2 tbsp chilli powder
Dash salt and pepper
Microwave: Cook beef 5 min stir ½ way. Drain beef. Add everything. Cook for 6-8 min until boils.
corn bread topping:
Mix:
¾ c corn meal
1 c flour
¾ tsp salt
1/3 c sugar
3 tsp baking powder
Add:
1 c milk
1 egg (well beaten)
2 tbsp melted shortening
Put cornbread on top of meat mix and bake at 425 F for 20 min or microwave for for 5 min (until bread is baked).
CHILLIES RELLENO
8oz. whole canned green chilies
1 lb. grated Monterey Jack cheese
2 eggs
1c sour cream
¼ tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
Remove seeds from chillies. Cut pieces flat. Put 1 layer in greased 8x8” pan. Sprinkle with ½ of the cheese.
Spread rest of chillies then the rest of the cheese. Beat eggs until frothy. Add sour cream, salt and pepper. Mix. Pour over chilli layers. Bake uncovered in 350F for 45 min, until set. Serve hot. Serves 6.
YUCATECAN MARINADED HALIBUT
Mix:
135mL (3 tbsp) each of lime juice and orange juice (fresh)
7mL (1 1/2 tsp) each of orange zest and lime zest
4 cloves of crushed garlic
2-4 chopped jalapenos (depending on taste)
5mL (1 tsp) cayenne (less if you don't like heat)
25mL (2 tbsp) paprika
10mL (2 tsp) cumin
50mL (1/4 cup) oil.
Pour over 1 kg of halibut steaks and let marinade for 3-4 hours
(do not go longer because the citrus cooks the fish).
Salt and pepper the fish before you grill.
Grill (or broil).
The length of time to cook with depend on thickness of the steaks
and how much the marinade cooked the fish.
On average about 8 min is good but make sure they are cooked through and only flip once!
Serve with orange and lime slices.
(You can use any white fish.)

My favorites are two passed down from my grandma. One is home made hash. Basically is cooked roast beef ground up, with ground up potatoes and ground onion. put in water with seasonings and it makes its own gravy. You get a couple of slices of white bread and pour the hash over it. Then there is home made macaroni and cheese with Real Mild Cheddar and Sharp Cheddar cheese with real butter. Baked in the oven. It is awesome......
