Quran 71:16 YUSUFALI: "'And made the moon a light in their midst, and made the sun as a (Glorious) Lamp? http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/071.qmt.html

Crystal clear error.

How can we get this pre-school error in the Quran corrected? Obviously, you shouldnt allow your stupid God to look so so so stupid. The moon could not have be made a "light" because the moon isnt a light. At night, the moon reflects the sun's light.

I guess I dont have a major problem with the Quran's calling the sun a "glorious lamp" because at least the sun itself is a source of light, like a lamp, although I am certain that a 5 year old could make a better comparison.

If Muslims can deny all truth in favor of following one dead man...I doubt this error is going change their minds. The Qu'ran is full of spiritual errors that prove Allah is not the God of Abraham though he say's he is ..which alone should change some minds and if they can follow that ....Only a major revelation of God is going to help them.

He did not say he made the moon a lamp did he? He said he made the sun a lamp and the moon a light. Is the moon not a light? Does it not light up in the night sky? I'm pretty sure it does. You are talking about the English translation of Arabic words. If you could read Arabic maybe you would have a better understanding of the meaning but i assume you dont so deal with it.
You read it in Arabic, understand it and then you could have an opinion until then i suggest you keep your " a five year old could make a better comparison" comments to yourself. The Arabic vocabulary far out ways the English having thousands upon thousands of more complex words and meanings than you ever could in the English vocabulary.

Crystal clear lack of intelligence on your part? Yes, absolutely!!

its still a light you stupid ****. The quran doesnt elaborate on how or where the light comes from only that its there and it shines. When you look at a moon do you not see light? if you dont see light i guess your blind or something cuz thats light up there. I guess even a five year old can tell you on a full moon night that the moon GIVES off light.
nonetheless its light and not darkness. God elaborates on how he made the moon a light based on its setup. God doesnt say the moon just magically turns on the way you interpret it.

the moon was a light, the there was no sun whats the problem? the suns light lit up the moon, its not calling the moon a lightsource like the sun its stating that it was lit up and giving light.

Yes, Genesis calls the moon a light as well. It is not a light. It is a giant rock. Case closed.
