Ok .there is a condition known as tinnitus..although I think that you are one of the few people that can hear things others don't I dont think that you from what you described you have tinnitus. The guy that lives behind me can hear power lines miles away that he can actually tell you what direction they are. There maybe something in your neighbor hood or around your area such as a military base of some other thing producing a tone that isnt audible to others only a few.. its nothing serious ,even with tinnitus you will find its not serious but you can go to an ent and have him check your hearing and they can hopefully fill you in on what you are hearing.. but i would be willing to bet you are hearing something you shouldnt be able to hear. There are sites all over the internet about pulse tones that people can hear that are produced in certain parts of the country from military bases..

Its called Tinnitus (ringing in your ears). It can be caused by exposure to loud noise either as a very loud one time event or by prolonged exposure. Other causes are injury to the ear nerves and disease. Some times it goes away by its self other times its permanent. Google Tinnitus, there is all kinds of help out there. The short answer is that if its permanent you just have to get used to it.

You may have been exposed to some noise loud enough to permanently damage your ears. If that's the case there is no cure and it will be with you for the rest of your life. It happened to me from being around some very loud engines running. IF you have ever gone to the drag strip or listen to loud music (live bar music is very dangerous) are a few examples.

You might have tinnitus, you can look up more info on Webmd, or just google tinnitus. It's a ringing or sound in your ears can be constant or intermittent. May precede hearing loss. I don't think there's a cure.

B flat?
Seriously, are you taking a lot of aspirin? It can cause ringing (known as tinitis). So can other medications.
