just went out and tested it again... the only electrical things that will work are the interior lights and radio. tryed to turn on headlights, and the interior light and radio went off. tryed to start car, and nothing. the starter wont even click.

Ok, an update. i did get it to jump start finialy!! but i had to let the cables stay attached for along time. anyway, i couldnt make it to the store to get a new battery before they closed, so im heading there tomorrow. hopefully it is just the battery. but if anyone thinks otherwise please let me know. and thank you!!

Check battery cables first..make sure they are tight on the posts and clean. I would say the battery might be bad but it would still take a jump if it was. If cables and battery are okay maybe the solenoid or the starter motor are bad.

If you tried to Jump it and all Electrical Systems are Active as full Head Light Power at Jump connection. And you don't get a clicking noise then your Starter Armeture probably has bound or frozen. Sometimes a wack to the housing will losen this up but just a temp. start.

I had a similar, na exactly the same problem in my olds cutlas. One day it will not come back to life. Found out after a tow and 150 USD that it was my battery. I've not had a dead car since. Makes you feel kinda dumb when you find out later you could have saved yourself 100 USD and missed day of work. New Battery...look into gettting one.

The fact it took a long time to jump your car proves the battery is dead..... it cant hold a charge. Buy a new battery and you will be good.

replace the battery, it's dead, and then have the charging system checked at autozone after you get it started.
