LOL! If MY 14 year old came home claiming to be pregnant, it would mean a trip to the psychiatrist. I have a 14 year old son....... :D But seriously, I ADORE your question, bc it puts Christians in quite the little conundrum. If they say they would not believe her because clearly she has been fooling around with her boyfriend and not god, then they open themselves up to the notion that Mary was in the same boat and HOW do you know that SHE wasn't fooling around with HER boyfriend? Same thing? How do you know one was god and the other wasn't? On the other hand, if some answering Christian says that he/she BELIEVES the daughter, that they really think that she WAS "touched" by god and that that is how she got knocked up, then that parent is due for a trip to a psychiatrist, not only in the eyes of every rational thinking atheist here, but also a lot of relatively normal Christians who would not think that god has come back and is getting 14 year old girls pregnant anymore, thinking, OMIGOSH, that is SO 1 B.C. I have no faith to be strong with, so I am jumping in on a question aimed at the Christians. I couldn't resist jumping in on such a juicy question. Ciao, Lady Morgana

She is obviously lying about she became pregnant. The only account of a virgin birth occurred over 2,000 years ago in Nazareth, a town in Galilee where a angel appeared to Mary with great news from the Lord.

Luke 1:28-38

26 In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."

29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God.

31 You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."

34 "How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"
35 The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[c] the Son of God. 36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. 37 For nothing is impossible with God."

38 "I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.

Well until an angel came and told me she was a virgin, I would not assume/believe any supernatural event had occured. I would take her to a doctor. See to it if she was pregnant, then begin counseling to help me and her through the process. In the Bible we read that an angel came and told Joseph about the pregnancy. I would need something along that line to believe her. ............ or if there was some knew genetics program at the High School

Another thing I would check is to see if there were indications of rape.

The virgin birth of Jesus fulfilled prophecy. No need for it to happen again.

May God Bless you.

you are obviously an atheist out to bait the Christians. I know this because your chain of thought is too logical to be a believer, the two things would not compute in their minds. They are wonderful at ignoring facts and sense to keep their belief system going

well i would have to agree with tyler, but it did make me chuckle, it's the year two thousand and seven, maybe if she tried it seven years ago it may have crossed my mind for a split second, but what are the odds of that right? Another thing, what kind of fifteen year old tells the truth anymore?

I'd insist on a DNA test. I'm wondering if Anakin's Mother in Star Wars had one? In that case, it was possible.

The only way it could happen is by artificial insemination.
