The atom defines the most basic unit of every chemical element in the universe. The word atom comes from the Greek word for "indivisible," yet while it represents the purest essence of one element, the atom has three facets, with the positively charged proton and neutral neutron at its core, and the negatively charged electron outside the core that balances its electric charge and interacts with other elements.
Trisecting a line as the basis for design in creationLife
The physical design of the human body, and that of many other life forms, is based on a relationship known as the Divine Proportion, or Golden Section. This proportion is based on trisecting a line such that the ratio of the small piece to the large piece is the same as the ratio of the large piece to the entire line. It is also found by solving an equation with three terms, x3 - x2 - x1 = 0.
Nature of man
The nature of man is expressed as mind, body and spirit, analogous to, and in the image of, the triune nature of God. It's interesting to note that Genesis relates man being made by "us" in "our" image when referring to God, indicating the plurality in His nature.
Life on Earth
Life on Earth inhabits three domains, the sea, the land and the air.
Holy Trinity
Following the three-in-one nature that is found throughout creation, we find the three-in-one nature of the One God manifested in the Holy Trinity, with each Being revealing a different aspect of our God and Creator to us:
The Father, the part of God that is transcendent, infinite and beyond our understanding,
The Son, Jesus Christ, the part of God that is immanent and appeared to us in the way that we could best know Him, in human form. He was both "Son of God," an expression of God as contained in human form, and at the same time "Son of Man," the ultimate expression of who we can be in our most divine form.
The Holy Spirit, the part of God that lives in the heart and soul of each of us, acting as our Counselor for those who believe and listen to His voice within us.

1 John 5:7-8 was written well before Nicea and it says the 3 are One. Trinity is just our word to describe it... we could have called it "bubble wrap" it wouldnt change that The Father Son and Holy Spirit are One.

We can see our physical, and assess our mental, but it's a little bit more difficult to understand, much less prove our spiritual self. In fact, Jesus indicated as much when he compared it to the wind in John chapter 3.
However, we can deduce that it's there, through our dream state and some can also interract with their spiritual selves through trance states. The proof of either is in prophetic vision and their fulfillment.
Sincerely,
Chris

If this is the same John Locke that has influenced people like Thomas Jefferson - keep your distance. Chances are that he heard one of George Whitefield's great gosple sermons and swiped ideas and turned them to his own liking.
Nevertheless, to answer your question, yes we are created in the image of God.
You will find that all metaphors break down at a point - many theologians have tried to compare various portions of man (as you have in your question) to God and have come up short. One reason for this is that God is infinite - we have a point in time where we came into being. Christ is the express image of God (2Co 4:4).
Good question - hard to answer. I have listed one Bible reference below.

in case you answer your man or woman question, will others reply? i appreciate God, i understand he's real, and that i keep in mind that he's a tri-section Being. because His note says we are created in His image, why ought to we doubt. We actually have medical evidence to lower back it up. (For you nonscientific kinds, the evidence is in our DNA.) when you're attempting to coach nonbelievers, you're squandering efficient internet-time. do not you keep in mind that till they're noted as of the Holy Spirit, they gained't receive what you're saying? Or are you preaching to the become hoping-for noted as? it really is cool. i'm able to carry with that. you should be mature in faith to placed your self obtainable like that. Man - body, soul, spirit
God - Father, Son, Holy Spirit
The Bible says "let US make man in OUR image".
Notice the use of the plurality. God is God the Father, God the Son - Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit. The Bible even says they are One.
