Ok I am 16 I have lived with mom sense last January at time I was tomboy. My older Brother who is 24 lives with us aswell he has a freind named Nick who will be turning 24 this year aswell. I got to meet Nick Febuary 10th of last year. After first conversation with Nick I instantly had crush on him. I wanted him to notice me so I started dressing like a girl and acting feminine rather then boyish I also started exercising to lose extra pounds. I comepletely changed myself. I started going to school and acting more better and started caring again. My life was crappy before came to live with mom and then when I met Nick I totally just became this remarkable young person. July of 2006 my bro became suspicious he asked me, You like Nick don't ya? I just turned bright red. Nick was in the other room and my brother like the meeny he his said, AYE NICK MY LITTLE SISTER LIKES U. He shouted it.

and after few minutes I had courage to walk in room that Nick was in I looked at him nervously and he smiled. Thats when I knew he had feelings for me aswell. i am 17 this year he is 24 I totally just like I don't know. I wrote a letter to him telling him I loved him and he smiled at me.

Ask him out already!! It doesn't really matter which you are in, you totally changed yourself for him and it was a change for the better so he must be a descent guy for you to have done that for him. Only you can answer if it is love or lust.

It's great that you met someone who has changed you for the better. It sounds like he has had a very positive impact on your attitude, life perspective, and grades. I think this is a deep crush that could lead to love. You are not that far away in your ages, although he does have more experience than you. If he does like you as well, take it slow. Get to know him better through conversation and simply hanging out. Become friends first, and see where it goes. This could be a really good thing, as long as he is a trustworthy guy who will have your best interest in mind. How do you think your brother will feel if you did start dating his friend? That's something to think about.

You have a crush...but if you are smart, and if Nick is smart, both of you will not go past friendship until next year. Just be platonic friends...he will get in huge trouble if you guys do anything more. Under age girls are called jail-bait for a reason. If you care about him, and yourself...be mature enough to wait. This is not a 'healthy relationship'. Next year, when you are 18, then you can reevaluate your feelings, and he can decide if he likes you then as well too. 24 year old men often don't know what they want yet either.

There's a thing called puppy love. Don't worry. Your infatuation made you start taking better care of yourself and that's good. If you look around, there are probably lots of boys closer to your age taking interest in you and you probably don't even notice because you've been focused on that one boy (who is way too old for you).
Just look around you and you'll see!

Hey Meg. Sorry to say its probably just lust...I honestly believe (although some will disagree with me) that you can't fall in love with someone (truly) after just having a conversation with someone. True love is unconditional...are you saying that whatever this nick character does or says you will still be infatuated with him?

First of all, I don't think it's love or lust but rather a crush. Second, be careful with older guys especially if you're a virgin. Get to know this guy as much as you can before getting involved in anything sexual, ok? Good luck!
