Why is it common for African American men to date Caucasian women but not the other way around?

I've posted this before but have only gotten a few answers.

I have ask myself that same question. Why is it alright for black men to date white women? But let a white man date a black women and they tell you to stick to your own kind. But then i think, the reason a black women dates a white man, maybe because white men treat their women better. As for the white women ,dating a black man, Well it could be, because they think dating a black guy , makes them feel special, because no white man would want them.

Yeah I've definetly heard about this several times.

My guess is that the ones that perfer Caucasian women more, probably think that some African American women are more aggressive and possibly controlling.

This situation is also somewhat similar to the whole "Asian women dating more Caucasion men," then the other other way around thing.

If you black women wouldn't date the idiots that bag and sag, they'd probably STOP dressing like that! I don't know how ANY woman can stand to even look at a man dressed like that, let alone date him! When it became politically incorrect to use the "N" word, it would have died away IF the blacks didn't call each other that, now everyone is using the "N" word again! If black people don't want other people to use the "N" word, then you can't use it either! YES there is a difference between blacks and black "N"'s just like there's a difference between whites and white trash hoosiers! Sorry but this is a public forum so anyone can answer even if you don't like it!

I am in a relationship where I am black and she is white and color never was an issue for us but, for other people it was. There aren't too many good men out there and that does make a difference because, many are in prisons and some are living another lifestyle with other men. There are more women in this country than there are men and mostly that's why.

I have dated two black girls in my life who both felt that they were cheating black men by dating out of their race. They were equally mad at black men for dating out of their race. The one, I never heard from again, the other wanted to get back together a few months later. I think, they just feel more of a loyalty to date black men.

Because many black men think white woman are better, or a status symbol. I am a caucasion man with a black "wifey" though. Many blacks are prejiduce over whites but want to date us...figure that one out if you will.

honestly, i dont know. i think that its ok for men because they think as llong as your good looking or fine, why not. with girls, it just doesnt go that was as often as it should.but there are a lot of mixed kids now a days

i as a white teenager would say, but i dont want to offend (or at least get beat up lol). lets just say white girls, and black girls are waaaay different!
