Does a break mean that we will get back together?

If a guy breaks up with a girl that he wanted to marry, and says he just needs space to find himself and reflect... does that mean that we ll get back together soon? or that he is seeing or wants to see another person?

If its a man that says he needs space and a break. It will be a 50/50 call. If it is a woman saying it, its over.

is their any basis to thinking that he is seeing or wants another person? or are these just conlcusions? give him his time he should come around.
