Wow.
Jayden, *humans* are mammals.
I don't understand it myself. I find no shame in sharing gene with the great apes -- intelligent, compassionate, family-oriented animals. This brings me greater comfort than the thought that the first man was made out of dirt, and his wife yanked from under his armpit.
But that's just me...

To be honest,it wouldn't bother me if apes were the only animals we supposedly share a lineage with. But,according to Richard Dawkins,we share a lineage with everything from possums to shrews to frogs to fish and the list goes on and on and on. From the evolutionary point of view, everything started from nothing, and because of that, we are ancestors to EVERY living thing. Heck,we are nothing but glorified bacteria that somehow derived from dust full of some chemical bacteria that somehow evolved into a chemical bacteria.I mean, life had to start somewhere, somehow. I choose to believe God started that life with humans always being human, animals always being animals, and insects always being insects, not where all living things derived from the very first living thing through evolution.I'd really prefer not to be related to a roach or a spider,as Dawkins and evolution seem to imply.
By the way,Dawkins also believes that apes should be,as far as is practical, morally and civilly as accountable as humans, and why not? After all, according to him,we are all just animals. What's next? Will we give the apes the right to vote? Let them run for President? Give lectures about how far they've come? Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?

I think they are very intelligent also and I'm not really insulted, I just think it is not true. I have read many of the theories on evolution and they all seem like just that, flawed theories. The evidence for creation seems more solid and they seem to add up. Here is a link with some evidence: http://www.creationevidence.org/cemframes.html?http%3A//www.creationevidence.org/TBN/TBN.html

Animals are animals, pigs, apes, snails, anteaters it doesn't make a difference it's just a way to make a point. I love animals too but I don't believe we come from them. You have to read Genesis to understand the significance of man and woman. I'am not insulted I just refuse to believe a lie. They're great and intelligent but still animals.

I used to find it difficult to think I was descended from a monkey - but its ok to be related to them.
We are not descended from the monkeys.
If we were, the monkeys would no longer be here,
