Yeah, my gay best friend when we hit 40. Its crept up over the years as we both live in hope.... but otherwise have a pact of matching wheelchairs on the promenade with a flash of gin and tonic making catty comments at the people that walk by. (I'm secretly looking forward to it LOL)

ah the good ol fall back option....
My best mate will. When we were teenagers we'd say "by the time we're 25..."
When we were nearing 20 it became "by the time we're 30..."
Now its more like "by the time we're 35-40..."
Lol. We'll never do it tho! Be to plain weird... but its nice to know that the fall back is there!
We're gonna grow old disgracefully together anyway whether we're married to each other ot other people!!

That's called a backup. And yes, my best friend from school and I made this backup pact. We both married other people and divorced later. We got to the age-limit of our pact so, we didn't get married.. Too bad, because she so cute... I still like her though.... and we are still best friends...

Yes, i've said to my mate Jay, if we both ain't married by 23, we will get married....we are friends though, and the best relationships come from friendships anyway..

Of course when I was younger a lot of us made what we called back up plans. Mainly initiated by a close male friend who didn't ever want to end up alone.
