Don't forget that God has promised to put a limit on the temptation. 1 Cor 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man, and God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
Remember this verse and use it. When Satan tempted Jesus in the desert, He hit him with scripture.
Also remember when you are at your weakest, that is when the enemy will strike. So keep your guard up.
Don't get too tired, lonely, stressed, hungry or angry.

Unless the temptation would harm me, another person, or a living creature - why avoid it?
I would think especially for the once-borns*, that making the most of every day would be a priority!
*People who don't acknowledge reincarnation, but believe there is only one life for each soul.

Hindu philosophy says that a working man is a pure man. If you continue to busy yourself going beyond the 9-5 day, (Charity!) you'll more easily avoid temptations of all sorts.

Romans 8:5
Those who live according to the flesh set their minds upon fleshly things, but those who live according to the spirit set their minds on spiritual things.
I set my mind on spiritual things through spending time in the Word of God every morning and making my focus where it should be. There is nothing we will go through that we cannot endure.

Stand by your convictions and remove yourself from temtpting situations. Like they tell recovering alcoholics to stay away from bars but they still have to go to stores where there is alcohol and they just have to be strong.

Master my thoughts. Think things through. Any sinner can sin, it is mindless. It takes higher intelligence and self control to walk with Christ and trust in him.
