Me and this guy have been flirting with eachother now for about a year. He seems to always think of me on the holdiays, by sending me a cute text message. Well this week we are going to finally get a chance to spend some alone time together. Do you think he is just trying to get me into a physical relationship, or do you think I mean more to him than just a one night stand? Note: we have never been together physically after all this time, so I am wondering if he thinks I am special.

depending on the guy... he may really like you and want a relationship (but to get to know you better first), he may just be a huge flirt who wants to be friends, or he may just think you're cute and want a hook up.
you really can't tell until you hang out with him and figure it out through his body language.... good luck!!
plus remember, he is DEFINITELY flirting with you, so it means he's interested in something...
however, since this has been a YEAR and you flirt through texts.... i have to ask: do you actually know him?!

Even if he just wanted you physically it's obvious he thinks you're special! Texting for a year??? Wow. I'd have to go with he's physically attracted to you, but wouldnt mind a exploring a deeper relationship. If it were purely physical he might flirt for a month, not longer...

You need to go out with him once first and see how he acts to know how he feels about you. You should be able to tell if he likes you or if he is just trying to get in you pants. But give him a chance first and dont go into it thinking he just wants a one night stand because you will just be there nit picking at things he is doing wrong.

If he talks to you about other women, you are just a friend. If he never mentions other women to you then then potentially he wants to hook up or he might be gay. If he ask about the men you are dating then he is gay. Have you not dated anyone other than him for a year? You may be more horney than he is. How long do you plan to wait before you get on the pot or move. This poor guy is dying.

you're definitely more than a one night stand to him. nobody keeps in touch with a girl for a year if all they want is some sex.
