Interesting. Many a great Men of Faith, from Abraham on down were very wealthy, powerful and blessed. Every hear of King Solomon and his riches. Oh yeah, he was also blessed beyond comparison at his time. It's not just in the Bible, historians have found many treasures from him. Oh, did I forget to mention he had faith in God. I suppose you and your brain know about this historical fact as well. The different between ones brains of a christian and a non-christian is that the christian believes in the Devinne intervention of the Eternal living God whom have greater wisdom of all mankind combined and when we partner with Him we can share in the blessings of his magnificent knowledge and will.

in case you actually believed in a blue god residing on mars, and that i mean with all of your innovations, coronary heart and soul, it does no longer be non experience to you, it would want to your faith most suitable you. faith is the concept in some thing notwithstanding it won't be able to be shown, and faith is mostly what causes maximum human beings to butt heads. maximum human beings don't like it at the same time as they throw their weight in the back of a few thing in user-friendly words ot have others tell them their nuts for believing it. faith V evidence is a round argument, that no area will ever win. athiests belive that because there is not any evidence of a god, then there is not any god, at the same time as creationists(for lack of a extra prevalent time period) belive that the lack of evidence isn't some thing extra then a attempt to their faith. in my opinion i relate extra heavily to athiests, if for no longer some thing else then I actually were persecuted over my own beliefs by technique of christians the position maximum athiests appreciate that i took the time to locate my own solutions and not in any respect merely examine it from a e book.

Let me use the term "faith" to describe what people believe about God. People who have faith in God believe that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him, that he is the Creator of all in the universe, is omniscient (all-knowing), omnipresent (everywhere), omnipotent (all powerful) and that He will save from the wrath to come upon all the earth all those who have entrusted their souls to Christ as their Savior.
Now if you truly believe these things, you will act on them - hence your life style will change.
If you don't, then you will look act, smell, think, and talk like the rest of the world.
Quite frankly, our brains get us in lots of trouble when trying to discern spiritual things of the Holy Spirit. However, never let anyone say they have faith in God and yet have not seriously thought about what that means to great extent - such a person should not really exist.
I also note a sense of anti-authority in your spirit (especially against God) - watch it - it may get you into trouble - believe me I know from my own experience.

That's exactly what it is. Intellectual laziness. Can't explain it? Don't want to spend 15 years studying? Chalk it up to the "Divine Creator".
I have no faith. If I believe something, it is based on observable phenomena, such as the galaxy in which our planet is located, or a cell that I can see under a microscope. There is a big difference between faith and a hypothesis. The former can be tested, the latter cannot.

not necessarily....
it also comes in handy when there's nothing you can do about something, or when you don't know the truth you only have a guess. like having faith in the honesty of a friend, having faith that things will turn out okay.
although some religious types over-do it

Sometimes. That's the best answer I can give. Sometimes but not always. If you really use your brain for thinking, you would realize that not everything is explainable. See the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know" and you'll see how much we still don't :)

Well I think there are many stupid believers and non believers. Sometimes it takes more brains to try uphold nonsense and sophistry but I guess it's a bad use of brains.

It depens on what you mean by nonsense. I consider my religious faith dead serious and not 'nonsense'. My beliefs keep me from causing myself and others irreparable harm.
I believe that it is better to be innocent than sorry. So you'll explain to me what you mean by nonsense.

I believe God created my brain and expects me to use it. I just find it interesting that you want to argue about this so regularly.
