It definitely does improve the texture and soften. What I like to do is heat it up a bit so it opens up the pores on my head and really penetrates the hair follicle. If you can, apply it then go into a steam sauna. It penetrates the hair shaft and really moisturizes. Or you can put a towel in a dryer and wrap it around your head. Happy hunting!
