Okay, I have no insurance because I recently lost my job and am starting another one but they don't offer insurance.. In the meantime, I have been eating extremely healthy and going to the gym 3-4x a week for an hour, working my butt off but I cant lose ANY weight! I am on the pill, but I've heard that metformin helps extremely, also with weight loss. I found a site where I can get it without a prescription and there is NO kidney/liver disease in my family.. so should I just order the pills and take them? If so, what would be the appropriate dosage? Theres no possible way I can afford to go to the doctor and get all the tests..I cant stand being overweight anymore and its making me depressed and fight with my boyfriend because im so insecure. HELP! Please!

The usual dose of Metformin is 1500 to 2000 mg for PCOS. The extended release has less gastric upset. Usually you start out with 500 mg, then after your body gets used to it for a few days to a week then increase to 1000 mg and so on.

These supplements can help with PCOS too.....USP grade progesterone and niacin bound chromium (Chromate)

Reducing carbs can help too. You are most like having a hard time losing weight due to the high glucose and insulin levels. I've been there and lost a little bit of weight after starting Metformin ER. I lost some more weight after starting raw apple cider vinegar (Braggs) before dinner. I put 2 teaspoons in a small glass of ice tea and drink before dinner. I also take digestive enzymes at least once a day and a fiber supplement.

IVF (in vitro fertilization) treatment; IUI, ICSI and Laparoscopic surgery is very cheap in India. The cost is very low and the medical services are very good in India.

My cousin and her husband got their IVF treatment in India through the Forerunners Healthcare in India and is all praise for this company. She is a known case of PCOS.She is a very happy mother of a baby boy now. She just paid 2500 pounds for the full IVF treatment in India for which she was quoted 8000 pounds in private setup in UK.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the newspapers. I have also read about a Chinese couple who planned surrogacy through the Forerunners Healthcare. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery and infertility treatment like IVF, IUI, and ICSI abroad for low price. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery and treatment can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
