Getting rejected by your crush

OR

Receiving a blank stare (or possibly even an annoyed eye roll) from your crush after you telling a joke?

Just curious.

To be honest, getting rejected by a crush is worse than a blank stare after a joke.

Getting rejected obviously. Rejection means no...

Receiving a blank stare doesn't mean no yet.

I would just try and understand her humour and work on a joke that I would KNOW would work.

Never had it but the blank stare must be worse as it is personal; rejection isn't.

tough one. it would be rejected. it means that there are no hope left. at least eye rolling, you still have a chance to tell better joke next time.

definitely the blank stare. It's sarcastic and somewhat cruel, whereas the rejection is (hopefully) civil.
